This is a perfect treat/snack especially around the holidays with SO MUCH junk that we are tempted with at parties and social gatherings. Here is a great treat to pack in a zip lock bag or bring to a party. It will be a healthy treat you can share and eliminate sugar!! It is very easy to make...only hard part is controlling your portion size :) remember nuts are good fats but in moderation!!

INGREDIENTS:

1 egg white or 3tbs liquid egg whites

1 teaspoon cold water

4 cups walnuts, almonds, cashews, pecans (i mix whichever nuts i have or you can stick to one type)

1/2 cup Splenda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:

cover a rimmed baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray

Lightly beat the egg whites, add water, and beat for a few seconds. Add the nuts & stir (NOT BLEND) until well coated. Mix in the splenda, salt and cinnamon, and sprinkle over the nuts. Toss to coat, and spread evenly on the prepared pan.

Bake for 1 hour and stir occasionally (i stir every 15 min) until golden brown. Allow them to cool and ENJOY!
